“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).
Therefore, for anyone to see and to be with God, this is only possible through Jesus, his only begotten Son (Matthew 11:27) (John 3:16-18, 14:6).
Jesus made it very clear when he was here on earth: “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him” (Matthew 11:27).
“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (John 10:9).
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
We must not be deceived by money to accumulate riches in this world. “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:10).
Let us live by the example of our Lord, Savior and King, Jesus when he was offered the kingdoms of this world by the devil, said: “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Matthew 4:10).
The devil, aka Satan was a liar, a thief and a murderer from the beginning because Jesus expressed how, “He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” (John 8:44).
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, “He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep’” (John 10:1-2).
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep” (John 10:10-11).
In the end the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord Jesus Christ: “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever’” (Revelation 11:15).
We must remember in time past when a certain young lawyer asked Jesus, “Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (Luke 18:18).
Jesus answered, “Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God” (Luke 18:19).
Jesus then answered saying: “Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother” (Luke 18:20).
Jesus also told to the young man saying: “But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17).
Jesus also told his disciples saying:“If ye love me, keep my commandments. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him” (John 14:15, 21).
God has declared, saying: “Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live” (Proverbs 4:4).
“Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
Jesus says: “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6:24).
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37).
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:34–35).
Jesus’ disciple Peter said: “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?” (2 Peter 3:10-12).
“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;” (2 Peter 3:13-15).
We must be reminded to do the will of God, the Father which is in heaven because when Jesus returns on the Last Day for the day of Judgment, he very carefully pointed out saying: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
“For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14).
Jesus explains, saying: “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left” (Matthew 25:31-33).
“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me” (Matthew 25:34-36).
“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not” (Matthew 25:41-43).
“And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal” (Mathew 25:46).
In this present day, our life appears to be normal; however, we need to remind ourselves that in the coming last days of time before Jesus’ return, there will be a period when life as we know it will change in an instant. Many people will be undoubtedly frightened. However, those having refuge in the Kingdom of God will not be afraid.
Jesus explained saying: “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” (Luke 21: 25-27).
“Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield” (Psalm 33:20).
Thousands of years ago in the time of Noah before the flood, and in the time of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah, there was a Friday night when the people of those times were going about their lives. So too, this Friday night people in this time are going about their lives. However, we must all stop to consider that this could be the last Friday night on this earth.
Jesus warned saying: “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).
“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21:34–36).
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light” (Romans 13:11-12).
“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end” (Hebrews 3:12-14).
Television episodes and movies have been made where notably one series proclaims along the lines, saying: “…To go where no man has gone before…”. Furthermore, there are those who believe that man has gone to the Moon and will one day soon travel to Mars. But is this true?
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” (Psalm 19:1).
Job asked: “Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea” (Job 11:7-9).
“The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth” (Psalm 113:4-6).
There is only ONE way to obtain eternal life and that is through Jesus Christ who says: “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:39–40).
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
