Every day we must ensure of our ‘Spiritual Fitness” in this world because our Lord Jesus says: “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).
Once we come to the knowledge of the word of God, we are not to look back on this earth to the lusts, pleasures, and pride of life, in other words, the pollutions of this world. Peter warned:
“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning” (2 Peter 2:20).
The Apostle Paul expressed, said: “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you?” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise; Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:15-20).
