Before the birth of Jesus there was a star in the sky in the east which was a guide for the wise men to find the place where he was born in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1-2, 9). Just as the star in the east was sign of the birth of our King, one day there will be a sign of the coming of Jesus Christ just before he returns to earth on the Last Day (Matthew 24:1-4, 36).
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:27, 39).
“So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors” (Matthew 24:33). “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” (Matthew 24:42).
