Jesus was made perfect after his crucifixion, death, and resurrection. “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him” (Hebrews 5:9). Jesus was glorified by the power of God. Jesus was once again given life. Jesus became immortal. Jesus can no longer die. Jesus has eternal life (Romans 1:2–4, 6:6) (1 Corinthians 15:20).
Jesus made reference to this in speaking about the resurrection: “God saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living’” (Matthew 22:32).
“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-27).
“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man” (John 5:26–27).
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18).
