Unfortunately, many people fail to realize the power that God has given his only begotten Son. We only need to go back to the time when he was here on earth.
“And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee” (Matthew 9:2).
Throughout the gospels there are numerous marvelous miracles perfomed by Jesus.
“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people” (Matthew 9:35).
Whatever sickness we are facing today, we must have faith that Jesus will heal us like the “…man sick of palsy lying on a bed…” who Jesus healed after seeing their faith.
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) has the power to forgive sins on earth, and he says:
“The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).
“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:32).
“There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth” (Luke 15:10).
